We are working on a final film for our second year at the HKU. We are making an absurdist short drama film. Our film is set in a world where parents can genetically modify babies to their liking. However, Mae and Adriaan suddenly have to deal with the uncertainty as to whether this has worked out well for their future baby... A doctor may not have made the right modifications to their baby.

The film is about expectation management and projecting one's own insecurities onto children. We want to create an uncomfortable feeling in the game for the viewers. We want to do this by making the interactions between the characters different from how things work in our world. The characters behave more sullen and colder towards each other than you and I are used to in our own world.

What do we offer?
Unfortunately, because it is a student production, we cannot reimburse you. Of course we do have travel expenses and catering on set! It is a professional set with a good atmosphere and we work with experienced actors! :)

A sound person who wants to record sound on our set. You can bring your own equipment, but it is not mandatory. It is also possible that we arrange all the equipment for you.
