I am pleased to bring Gerrit Gerlofsma to your attention.

I am a trainer in the language of images (see www.gravioli.nl) and had the pleasure of training him at the Media Academy in 2014. Driven as he is, he wanted more, and a 1-on-1 followed. training at his home to go through as many facets of visual language as possible (camerawork, decoupage, editing, etc.).

I got to know him there as very eager to learn and knowledgeable in all aspects of this beautiful profession.
For example, he is proficient with After Effects and knows (fairly) a lot about Première Pro.
He also has a remarkable amount of knowledge - as I noticed - of camera optics and sensors, which means he can handle all the cameras that are currently on the market. You can't say that about everyone.
He is skilled at framing and knows what emotions an image can convey.
In addition, he is especially driven; he does not hesitate to sometimes go to breakneck speed for exactly that one shot. I find such an eager attitude commendable and absolutely necessary to rise above the average.
He also told me a lot about his painting lessons from the past and his experience in photography, which also gives him a good view of light and exposure. This is also reflected in his photos and shots.


In short, as you can read above, I am very charmed by his knowledge and skills and I hope to testify to this through this letter.
