In an absurd, overwhelming gray city that thrives on capitalism, Kiko tries to overcome the city's powerful forces. In an expressionistic portrayal of her internal struggle, Kiko loses her hope and strength to return to her inner, imaginative child, who cries out for attention. Kiko's personal experience is translated in a stylish and surreal way into a short film inspired by music and fashion videos. With inspiration from German Expressionism in modern (music) videos, KIKO is an experimental short film without dialogue.

What do we offer?
This experimental project offers a super educational and fun experience. We create a lot of space and freedom to experiment, learn and try out. With a close-knit, young (and small) team you will be taken into a light-hearted project full of inspiration, creativity, connection and of course fantasy. The costumes are partly custom made for Kiko and Little Kiko, super cool! We also cover (part of) the expenses, such as travel costs that may be incurred. Of course, there will never be any use of hot tea and snacks on the film set

Description
Kiko (female, 20-25 years), the protagonist, is a romantic and innocent young woman who always follows her heart. She is sensitive, passionate, creative and believes in nature. Kiko is a dreamer and her motto is: “I am free to be me and you are free to be you”. Because of this freedom and innocence, Kiko is also very naive, so in a 'fast', gray city, where everything revolves around power and money, Kiko can easily be undermined. For this role we are looking for a young woman with a soft appearance and a subtle playing style who likes to experiment. Some acting and stage or set experience is required, but of course we are also open to new talent. (You may have a sister/niece/someone who, strangely enough, looks a lot like you, who also has a passion for acting and wants to play Little Kiko (5-10 years).

Little Kiko (girl, 5-10 years), the symbolic character - the inner child of Kiko, shares the same character traits as mature Kiko. A dreamer with a rich imagination. Little Kiko only lives in her fantasy; a beautiful and warm dream forest. For this role we are looking for a girl with a passion for acting and loves dressing up ;) (You may have a sister or niece with whom you share the passion for acting to fulfill the role of mature Kiko (20-25 years) .

Tomiko (boy, 5-10 years), Kiko's ally lives in the expressionistic 'Gray City'. He is very similar to Little Kiko, because he is also a dreamer and prefers to stay in his fantasy world forever. In the big city he is doomed to follow his parents' footsteps and leave his dreams behind. When he encounters Kiko, he is amazed by her unique appearance and this gives him hope. For this role we are looking for young acting talent for a small role.
