Gert works as a cleaner in a nursing home. He really hates his job. Until he suddenly gets along well with Jan, an 80-year-old man who lives in the home. They share the same irritations with boss Esmeralda, who seems to have the hots for Gert. His wife Maartje is irritated by the always negative Gert, who never seems to pay attention to her anymore. He is told that he has a serious illness and is terminally ill and Jan must be removed from the home. Their last week has passed. Together they take revenge on Esmeralda. Then they are suddenly told that Gert's illness can be cured and that he will therefore not die. But does he still want that...
