about me
I am a born storyteller, who loves digging and digging. I translate complex subjects into contributions that are fascinating for a wide audience. I easily switch from a conversation with people in a deprived neighborhood to the mayor or prime minister. I know (almost) everything about Rotterdam, but I also like to highlight the world of art and culture and mini-companies that stand for something bigger.
I write, but radio and films.

ask me for
Reportages over sociaal-culturele onderwerpen, Rotterdam, grote stedenproblematiek in het algemeen, kunst- en cultuur, radioreportages en podcasts.

remarks
I'm an easier talker, where people quickly settle down and bring people together quickly. I never go for the easiest way, but look for creative angles.

trackrecord
In my time as a political reporter in Rotterdam, I have gained enormous knowledge about political strategies and big city problems. Major subjects from that period: including the receipts affair around Mayor Peper and the rise and murder of Pim Fortuyn.
The Mini-Society for Radio 1 (KRO-NCRV) about everyday life in a TBS clinic, behind the scenes at Gay Pride and threatened small primary schools.
I have also done a lot of live reporting and art and culture for Frits Spits and Radio 4, among others.
My best trip - the radio play De Grote Barribal for Radio Rijnmond - still leaves me wanting more.

awards
NL Award nomination for De Grote Barribal, a radio play based on a story by Marten Toonder, with a nod to the rise of Fortuyn.

equipment
